Seattle Woodsman Festival. This composition was recognized nationally by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards receiving a silver medal for design and gold key in the competition as well as a publication in the book Best Teen Art of 2020. This work also attained 3rd place in the nationwide SCAD challenge competition of 2020 for graphic design.

As a senior in high school at the time I was in the process of creating a portfolio to submit to the several different schools I was thinking of attending fall of 2020. Wanting to add submissions that would stand out from other applicants for the highest consideration of attendance I was aware I would need to really impress them. This piece encapsulates the right amount of fun, simplicity, texture, and emotion that had admitted me to the 4 design programs I applied to.
